If you added a software frame buffer emulation setting it would probably fix all rom hacks. It works in Glide64 because they use software frame buffer emulation. It is unplayable with the black textures though. But disabling Frame Buffer Emulation gets rid of the black screen. I have tried all of the settings inside Project64's graphics settings within GlideN64, nothing makes the black textures go away. I am trying to use the entirety of my screen in windowed mode while playing Super Mario star Road. The reason I am using GlideN64 is because it is the only plugin that I know of that lets you make a custom windowed size. With new Super Mario 64 hacks on the rise, this should be fixed. It seems it has been an issue since 2015. This happens with almost all of the Super Mario 64 Rom hacks. The Game will read spaces as "%20" so removing spaces (or using _ instead) and any characters that show as the ASCII code fixes the issue. I can confirm trying games with renamed rom names does work indeed so thank you for that. I had tried this but I have found out why my previous attempt at this failed, I tried Pilot Wings and renamed it to Pilotwings and had no luck so I assumed the naming convention wasnt the issue, however I now understand Pilot Wings is a game that has problems running due to it using a unique chip. Not really sure what else I can add to describing the issue really, the roms and emulators are not zipped and worked fine in the older version of NRAN.Īny help with this would be greatly appreciated please. I tried removing spaces from names, tried verifying integrity of files, tried different folder structures but nothing seems to get the games to run, the cartridges are showing the artwork just fine, the controller (in game) is clicking away as it should with button presses but upon firing up a game I just get the logo and nothing more.

This was a fresh install of NRAN (I like to do things from scratch if I forgot things) and this is the only thing I am struggling to get working. I tried the latest builds of bnes and bsnes and also tried my old backed up dll's and roms with no luck, I just get the splash screen like the rom or emulator just isn't playing ball for me at all.
My arcades (mame) work fine, the gameboy games work fine too but when it comes to the games console I just cant get it working no matter what I try.

I am fairly clued up on how to do things and followed the guides for the new version of the arcade builder and soon found the swing of things easy enough. I used to be able to run the console games just fine but now I cant seem to get neither the bnes nor bsnes working with any rom at all. Spent a little time away from this game and just got back into it since all the updates in the last year.
